That’s me, Linda Erlam. I’m the owner and operator of Design Sewlutions. You don’t care how many years I’ve been in business (over 25, just so you know anyway). What I hear you telling me is that you have a problem and you need a solution.
Helping you find that solution is my job. While it is great fun to tell people what is wrong with their interior decorating style, (tongue in cheek here, please), I have found it is more helpful to talk with my clients and start a conversation. This means listening to you and finding a solution that fits your timeline, your home, your budget, your family and you.
And that is a promise. I will listen to you and together we will find the solution.
I use an award-winning interior design software program that allows me to design window treatments on a photograph of your actual window and apply the chosen fabric too. We can paint your walls a new color and add an area rug all before you buy anything – no more “trying to visualize”. Being a one-stop shop is important to you. You have told me so. I do the legwork. Everyone has a budget and I am mindful of that; I don’t believe a beautiful home has to be expensive. A free in-home consultation helps get the conversation started. Call me or send me an e-mail, we can work online if you prefer.
Please remember that the smaller your budget, the less room you have for mistakes and I can help make sure they don’t happen.
A few comments from some clients:
“I just had to send you a note to say how much I LOVE our new slipcovers! The poor old loveseat now has a new lease on life and I am doing a happy dance to the utmost. Thank you so much for doing a beautiful job, and right on schedule – you are such a clever gal! Your confidence with the fitting and then your expertise with your sewing machine simply amazes me! I am very happily impressed. Thanks again!” Carol C
“Thanks again Linda, we absolutely love the blackout drapes and can’t wait to sleep in tomorrow! We’ll have to set out alarms just so we don’t sleep the day away – HA!” B&D P.
“We continue to love the drapes Linda made for us! I’m particularly fond of the kitchen ones and am thankful for the privacy and energy efficiency that they afford as well as her creativity in finding a solution to our problem window.” Karen
“Linda showed me what my options were for window coverings and her ideas and suggestions opened up the rooms more than I imagined they could be. She gave me suggestions on how to use colors from my feature painting to keep the space bright and feeling open. One of my favorite experiences with Linda was when she taught me how to recover my kitchen chair seats. She guided me through a do-it-yourself project and in about an hour and a half I them done! The very best part of all is that Linda was able to help me get EVERYTHING I wanted done in my house within my budget.” Tracy Lynn
“Linda is a master at her craft whether it’s decorating or writing. She listens to you and then, if warranted, will make suggestions. She let’s you know if something will or won’t work and then explains why she thinks that way. I really appreciate her honesty. Linda is great at listening to your vision and then making it a reality. I recently worked with her on our bedroom makeover; she made it fun, stress free and kept me under budget . I would highly recommend Linda’s services.” Dianne P.
